Hi Alexa,
Are you allergic to cow's milk?
Feel free to call me if you want to talk about this; it may be easier than working it out in this forum.

I'm guessing that while the sugar content is low, the fat content of almond milk is high (again just a guess). Might be why you like it more than soy milk.
Certainly that's why we don't eat almonds on the plan.
Is almond milk an acceptable substitute for milk?
I understand that we are abstinent from nuts in rfa. This makes perfect sense to me, as nuts are a food that I have consistently binged on in the past. (Even when I tried to use them in one of my dieting sprees. hah)
I am new to the food plan and at night I like to make a smoothie (fruit, half a serving of yogurt, half a serving of milk) for the metabolic adjustment. Almond milk has a much lower sugar content than even unsweetened soy milk and I enjoy it more. Plus, I have never had an issue with almond milk, nor has it triggered any kind of craving.
I'm wondering if it is acceptable with this food plan.
Thanks!!
