RFA Talk > having a lap-band...how do I convert to this food plan?
Hi Kim, glad you are here. Have you already had the surgery or A1 you going to have it in the future?

Hi Kim,
Welcome. This food plan and program have made a huge difference in my life.
4oz is very little. I have worked with someone who has a lap band and she needed to divide her meals in half, but half would still be more than four ounces. It's important we eat all the food and it's important we always balance our carbohydrate with protein, so if you have to divide your meals split those equally.
Glad you are here. Keep asking questions.

Hi Kim, I am glad you are interested in following this food plan. It is the only one that has worked for me and it really works! If you haven't had the surgery yet, you may want to consider getting a sponsor and following the food plan "as is" to get familiar with it. So glad you are posting questions! You might find answers at one of the phone meetings too! Alison in Atlanta
Hi Kim.
I have a lapband. I lost the initial amount of weight with the lapband and then a plateau. I started eating bad foods again as they were easily digested and melted through the lapband...gaining weight. I was fortunate enough to hear a presentation on food addiction and RFA and decided to try it. Had the band loosened enough to eat healthy without issue and got abstinent. It has been wonderful not craving the foods that made me eat working with the band, I am losing steadily and feel great.
Good luck.
Hello, I am very interested in following this abstinent food plan and program. How do I adjust if my total food portions are only 4 ounces per meal. Any help...I would really appreciate it. Thankyou Kim C.
