RFA Talk > Combined phone/Face to face meetings

I am curious if anyone has had any experience combining a face to face meeting with a phone meeting. The goal is to start a meeting in a new location, and to dial in to a phone meeting where we can be sure to hear experience strength and hope of those with more than 30 days of abstinence. Has anyone tried this? Does this work well with just using a cell phone and a speaker? Alison in Atlanta

Allison,

That sounds like a wonderful idea. I thought about it once but never pursued it.

Thanks, Mary Rose. I will bring up the idea with others at the convention. Alison

Donna, sorry I missed your comment. That is an interesting idea! I have not had much luck with Skype, but I have had luck with FaceTime. Perhaps I will put down "feel free to FaceTime" when I list my phone number and email on the contact list at my meeting. Also, I could find out if there is a contact list for the Friday night RFA phone meeting. If so, then I could add that and get to see some of the others on that phone meeting "face to face" via FaceTime. I did learn more about a combined face to face meeting/phone meeting and have announced that I would like to discuss it at our meeting's next group conscience. What has worked for other anonymous programs is just to add a speaker phone to an existing face to face and let others dial in.
