Hi Kasey,
The hardships that life bring our way such as washers with leaks are better tolerateed when we are abstinent that is for sure. Its a blessing to know that we can cast all of our cares on our HP because we know he cares for us.
Thanks for sharing Kasey, its always good to hear words of encouragement, no matter what cards life deal us in a day, we can trust that God is in control of our the situation and our food.
Keisha
May the peace of God be your empire
Hi Everybody,
I tried to post this earlier today but something went wrong....
I was home unexpectedly today because of a leak at my washer (my fault, not a mechanical failure). My gratitude for this program, my HP, and abstinence is really at an all time high.
I was able to talk to my neighbors (downstairs, my leak ended up in their apartment), contact my insurance company, know that I have the money for the deductible and not have to call the suicide hotline!
I don't know if you know how great it is to be able to take responsibility for myself, but I owe it all to abstinence and the Steps and the realationship with my HP that has developed. I was in a panic a few times today, but kept reminding myself that God takes care of me and even if the day doesn't go how I think it should, I'm not alone. The greatest thing was being able to be rigorously honest with the insurance company about what happened and trust that I would be cared for. I may get a bigger premium next year, but I don't have to be worried about whether or not they might find out that I was dishonest. the inner conflict caused by dishonesty is a huge threat to my abstinence.
thanks to you for all you do for your own recovery and for me.
If you were at the convention this weekend, thanks for sharing yourself. I really learned a lot and had a great time.
If you weren't there, please consider joining us next year or some other time in the future; we're fun! And the food is fantastic!
Love,
Kasey
