Im new here. Ive been in FAA for some time but am looking for a sponsor who follows the food plan as it is laid out and who uses the BB. Is there anyone out there who is available to sponsor who does these things?

Welcome Cindy! The BB is a treasure isn't it! So glad you are seeking a sponsor because having a sponsor is so important on this journey. A sponsor is the voice of reason, the voice of experience, the voice of support and compassion...and so much more:) Having a sponsor can make the difference between recovery and relapse! My advice is to "go to" phone meetings, get phone numbers of other recovering food addicts and call them, read posts here, and be looking for someone who has what you want. Then ask them if they are available to sponsor you:) It would be great to hear from you and get to know you. My email is gamater@windstream.net and phone is 678-315-7328. Welcome, Cindy. While I am not personally able to sponsor at this time, there are folks out there who can hopefully step up and help you out. For me, that is the attraction of RFA--we have an food plan free of addictive substances AND the AA literature of the BB and AA 12 & 12. I need both--I am a veteran of years of therapy and I never got the (spiritual) healing there that I have gotten here. For me, the food plan is Step 1A, and the rest comes from having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps.
