I follow Kay's current plan, found on her website, with a couple of minor, sponsor approved, adjustments.
Great question- it will be intersting to see the variety of answers.

I have followed the food plan from "Food Addiction, The Body Knows" (1989/1993) as written, since September 25, 1993. "The Craving" from sugar, flour and wheat was stopped in it's tracks, and I lost 70#, which has remained lost since August 25, 1994. I am eternally grateful for the accurate information. Aliene

I have followed the food plan in the book, "Food Addiction, the
Body Knows since October 3, 1993. After spending my whole life on a diet, I was so happy when I read this book. I finally got the correct information about what was wrong with me. I had an addiction to sugar, flour, and wheat. No one ever told me that before. I just thought I was a weak willed glutton. For the first time in my life I could now eat without shame, guilt, or the fear of gaining weight.

This food plan worked when I started it, and it continues to work.

I am so grateful.

I follow the food plan as written in From the First Bite. This April I will have four years of abstinence. I am so grateful for the food plan and RFA!

I have been following the food plan from From the First Bite since it was published. Before that I followed the food plan from The Body Knows. For me, the portions are the same (a lunch starch has always been on the food plan for men). I do want to be as free as possible from cravings, and some people have had cravings on food that was allowed on older versions of the food plan. So I prefer the more recent incarnations so I can be as risk-free as possible.

I have been folloiwng Kay's food plan for the book "From the First Bite". I got abstinent (100%) on 2/22/08 and have been abstinent ever since. I am a recovering anorexic/bulimic who suffered with food addiction and all it's mental and physical manifestations since I was age 19 years. I am now 59 years and so grateful to God and Kay for finding the solution (along with working the steps and attending phone meetings when I can).
I am 100% craving free all the time. I, like Mary Rose, finally found out what was wrong with me after trying to find the answer to my problems by starving and bingeing day after day, year after year, living in total frustration and disgust with myself. Now I have a life worth living and being retired, that is truly a gift.

I have followed the plan in "From the First Bite" since 8/20/00 and as stated above have been abstinent and craving free ever since and by the grace of God maintaining an over 200lb. weight loss. As new information becomes available, my sponsor and I decide whether or not I need to remove a food that has recently been identified as an addictive trigger for some and removed from Kay Sheppard's food plan. Personally, I also have not used any form of liquid or any other sweetener since 2004. It was not a trigger for me (though it is for many), but I just felt it wasn't a healthy food, so why eat it. I love this way of life!

I have followed the food plan from The Food Addiction book and it is nice to be free from sugar, flour and wheat and have a sane way of eating. I'm so glad for the accurate information.
