Cathy,
Thanks for sharing! That's a great story. I too am finding life in abstinece/RFA so much more rich and fulfilling- just like the food.
Happy Birthday!

Kathy--
Yes, Happy Birthday all over the place! Congratulations and thanks for your work this year and for your service to us. It has been an honor to witness your changes this past year and I look forward to seeing and hearing more in Year 2!

Congratulations Cathy!
Life is wonderful with abstinence and the 12 steps. It is truly a miracle.
We have the solution for food addicts.

Happy Birthday Cathy, Congrats!
I hear you, it feel so good to not be consumed with the next fix... Thank God for Recovery!
When I started this program April 7th 2012, I couldn't imagine never having birthday cake. Well, I just celebrated my birthday on February 13th and did not miss the cake! I also spent my birthday week at Disney World and stayed abstinent. Amazing! Before, I would take on Disney World with sugar and caffeine. This time, I fed my body healthfully and regularly and had the most fun ever! I wasn't in the food, my blood sugar wasn't on its own roller coaster, and I didn't rev up my body with caffeine to keep going past exhaustion. This time last year, I was birthday binging. I was wallowing in despair and hopelessness...just surviving. Now, thanks to God, Kay's food plan, and RFA, I'm thriving...living the abundant life I had been searching for but couldn't find because of addiction. Thanks to all of you who post here, attend meetings, share at meetings, lead meetings, answer your phone, and all the other ways you support food addicts like me:)
