RFA Talk > Aren't you starving?

Someone just asked after looking at Kay's food plan, "Aren't you starving?" I laughed because of the generous portions we eat. When someone sees my plate at mealtime, they ask, "You eat THAT much??" But you know, before I weighed and measured food, I had no idea how much 4oz of meat or 1c of spaghetti squash really was. I didn't know how generous a serving 8oz of potato is or that 1T of fat is enough. Thankful today for the knowledge, experience, strength, and hope the food plan and RFA provide:)

Cathy--

I love also that it is states in our approved literature that the food plan supports no more than 45 minutes of exercise per day. I have wanted guidance for years about this--another example of how much is too little or too much--I certainly didn't have a clue. Before if I ran less than 6 miles I would think I wasn't doing enough, and the gym? Just stayed away, had no idea what was a good amount, just felt less than about it all. Neat to see now that I have been going to the gym 2-3 x per week for about 12 years now, went this morning and had a good workout--of 45 minutes. And I don't need to figure out, do I get to eat more now? Or am I already getting too much? I know the right amount these days and am grateful for accurate info for someone like me.

Exactly! To have found a plan that has been tested and tried and proven to be correct and affective is just a miracle all the way around...the food, the exercise, the 12 steps...it's such a simple tool kit that just has to be picked up:)
