Was thinking today as I was driving around in the pouring down rain taking my 4 year old son to occupational therapy, that the freedom from criticizing, blaming, and judging is freedom indeed. The emotional and mental strain of contantly looking at others under a microscope and playing God is devastating. I caught myself thinking a critical, judgemental thought about someone today and it felt horrible! And I used to live that way. Continuously seeing people from the standpoint of a judge. As if! The energy I wasted and the toxicity I produced in my mind, body and soul all in the name of knowing it all and knowing what was best for everyone! I'm so thankful that my eyes have been opened to the truth. I'm not God. I don't know what's best for everyone. Heck, I don't even know what's best for me! Only God knows and only God has the power to empower me with the ability to care for myself and others in an appropriate, loving way. It feels so good to look at others with love and acceptance. When I understood this concept of love and acceptance, live and let live...I felt the weight of the world was off my shoulders! Life without criticizing(C), blaming(B), and judging(J) is the good life:)
In conclusion...CB & J attitudes and actions are just as dangerous to my recovery as a PB & J sandwich!
