On Awakening..........
I ask God to direct my thinking, especially asking that it be divorced from self-pity, dishonest or self-seeking motives. I ask simply that throughout the day God place in me the best understanding of His Will that I can have for that day, and that I be given the Grace by which I may carry it out.

This prayer is a compilation of lines from the AA Big Book and AA 12&12,
that I have personalized for me. I have always asked for the power to carry out God's Will for me, but I LOVE "that I be given the Grace by which I may carry it out." In/By His Grace, I will have the power OR WHATEVER else I need.
